Let’s begin again
Word document to ball point pen
Express the depth through simple emotion
That’s when words become a potent potion
Wash up on the beach gasping for air
Begging the trees to gift and share
Ask them:
“Please, give me something to breathe
There is so much more in life I want to achieve
Fill my lungs, blood, pump my heart
Don’t tear my remaining life apart.”
What’s it like to suffocate?
Observe every positive path you believe is too late to take
Observe every habit that you have began to grow to hate
Observe all the reasons why you began to isolate
Then, allow these answers to start to percolate:
You can heal yourself without a medical suture;
You can’t change the past
So, change the future
You needed oxygen to breathe yet now you don’t
Through your own found freedom
You learned on your own how to float
